Caring for retired athletes requires a massive amount of daily resources. Community engagement is a core pillar of our mission!
Depending on the nature of the event, the travel logistics, and—most importantly—the physical and mental well-being of our horses, we do participate in local parades and educational gatherings.
Bringing our horses into the community is a wonderful way to raise awareness for equine aftercare.
Don't hesitate to get in touch with us with the details of your event to discuss availability and coordinate logistics.

A major part of our mission is rehabilitating and retraining thoroughbreds and sport horses so they can transition into successful second careers.
Many of our horses are looking for their forever homes as pleasure riding mounts, therapy partners, or loving companions.

We firmly believe that every horse has earned a dignified retirement, regardless of their physical limitations.
For those athletes who are unable to be retrained or adopted due to age or injury, Pirates’ Promise provides a permanent, safe sanctuary.
They will live out the rest of their days with us in comfort, receiving top-tier care and plenty of treats.
